In latin music, montunos are commonly denoted as short rhythmic patterns played on a piano or a tres guitar, but this term also refers to the main section of a song called ”coro-pregón”.
Piano montunos are obtained by playing breaking chords or arpeggios with octaves at the right hand. The same chord voicings or inversions can be used for the left hand.
